Why Me?

I have been studying stories and writing for the past 3 and a half years and have trained directly under an editor (Shawn Coyne) with over 25 years of experience. The group of Story Grid Editors offer each other advice and expertise on a daily basis and have a line of communication to Shawn should we need it. I have gotten a couple short pieces published and am a writer myself so I know the struggles you face firsthand. Additionally, I’m working on a Story Grid Guide to The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness using the tools from The Story Grid. This spring I will attend Robert McKee’s Story Seminar. Finally, I have intensely studied other craft guides such as Story Engineering, Writing Fiction, Story, and Plot and Structure and will continue to do so to improve my craft and services.

As for websites, I have been learning about web design and coding for the past 2+ years. I built and designed this self-hosted WordPress site and designed a site on Zenfolio. I’ve studied marketing and design and have used the techniques I’ve learned to build my site from the ground up.
